What is the Tour?
The Tour de France is the most prestigious and iconic event in professional cycling and one of the most famous sporting events in the world. First held in 1903, it has grown into a global sporting spectacle that showcases the world’s best riders over three weeks of intense competition each July. Travelling through France and often neighbouring countries, the race tests riders with gruelling mountain climbs, flat-out sprints, and strategic time trials. With the coveted yellow jersey symbolising the overall leader, the Tour is as much a mental and tactical battle as it is a test of physical endurance. For fans and riders alike, it’s the ultimate celebration of the sport of cycling.

Equipment of the Tour
At the 2025 Tour de France, the teams are kitting their riders out with some of the top brands available at Tredz. Unlike the bikes the teams will be using, the equipment and kit the teams use is much closer to the products that are available on the wider market. In this page we are going to take a closer look at the equipment the pros will be racing with at this years race.
