The Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame features Trek’s latest high-pivot suspension layout, giving the rear wheel a rearward axle path that improves bump absorption and traction under load. An idler pulley keeps pedal feedback under control, while the Active Braking Pivot (ABP) ensures the rear suspension remains active under braking.
With 170 mm of travel front and rear, the Slash is built for the biggest terrain. A Fox Rhythm 36 fork with a GRIP damper and a Fox Performance Float X shock work together to provide a planted, responsive feel whether you're smashing descents or pumping through compressions
A mullet wheel setup (29” front / 27.5” rear) adds stability up front and agility out back, making the bike feel playful yet controlled at speed. Tubeless-ready Bontrager Line Comp 30 wheels are wrapped in grippy XR5 Team Issue tyres, giving you plenty of cornering bite and support.
Shifting is handled by a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain, with wide-range 10–51T gearing to help you winch up climbs and sprint between stages. The Deore crankset offers trail-ready durability, and the Shimano 4-piston brakes with 203 mm rotors give you the stopping power to handle steep, sustained descents.
Finishing touches include a Bontrager Line Dropper post for saddle clearance on the descents, internal frame storage, angle-adjustable headset cups, and adjustable leverage rate so you can fine-tune the suspension feel.
