The Novus High Step Hub uses a 6061 aluminium frame with a traditional crossbar design, offering a familiar ride feel and confident handling when carrying speed or weight. Its geometry balances comfort and control, making it well suited to commuting and longer mixed-terrain rides.
Bosch’s Performance Line motor delivers smooth, responsive support that feels natural through the pedals. It’s paired with a 600Wh PowerTube battery, neatly integrated into the frame, giving plenty of capacity for regular riding without constant charging.
A sealed Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub gear system keeps maintenance to a minimum. The internal gearing is protected from dirt and weather, and it allows shifting while stationary, which is useful in traffic and at junctions. Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable braking performance in wet or dry conditions.
Up front, the Suntour XCM34 fork offers 100mm of travel to take the edge off rough roads, tracks and kerbs. The 27.5” wheels are wrapped in wide Schwalbe Grounder tyres, adding grip and comfort across asphalt, towpaths and light trails.
Practical details come as standard, including integrated lighting, full mudguards and a 25kg-rated MIK rear rack for luggage or panniers. Comfort touches like ergonomic grips and a Selle Royal Essenza saddle help keep longer rides relaxed. The Novus High Step Hub is built to be straightforward, dependable and easy to enjoy day after day.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
