The Mondraker Summum R Mullet is a downhill bike built with racing at its core, designed to handle steep, fast and technical terrain with confidence. Developed through World Cup competition, it combines proven suspension performance with modern geometry to deliver a composed ride at speed.
The Stealth Alloy frame uses hydroformed tubing to balance strength, stiffness and compliance. Mondraker’s Forward Geometry gives a longer reach and slacker front end, helping improve stability when riding steep descents and high-speed sections. The updated Zero Suspension System delivers 200mm of rear travel, with refined kinematics that add more mid-stroke support while maintaining sensitivity over small bumps.
Up front, the Fox 40 Float GRIP fork provides 203mm of travel, offering consistent damping and control through rough terrain. At the rear, the Fox DHX2 Performance Elite coil shock delivers a planted feel with strong small-bump sensitivity and predictable support on bigger impacts.
The mullet wheel setup pairs a 29-inch front wheel for improved rollover and stability with a 27.5-inch rear for agility and easier cornering. Both wheels are built on e*thirteen Grappler Flux rims and fitted with Maxxis tyres, combining grip and durability for downhill riding.
A SRAM GX DH 7-speed drivetrain is designed specifically for gravity riding, offering reliable shifting and a focused gear range for descending. SRAM Maven Base four-piston hydraulic brakes with large rotors provide powerful, consistent stopping when it matters most.
Additional features like internal cable routing, sealed pivot bearings and integrated frame protection improve durability and reduce maintenance, making the bike well suited to regular uplift days and demanding terrain.
Overall, the Summum R Mullet is a purpose-built downhill bike that focuses on control, stability and predictable suspension performance, making it a strong choice for riders pushing their limits on steep and technical tracks.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.
