Merida Silex 7000 2026 - Gravel Bike

The Merida Silex 7000 is built for riders who crave adventure and freedom, whether that’s an all-day gravel ride, bikepacking weekend, or simply escaping the traffic to explore unknown trails. Positioned as Merida’s most versatile drop-bar platform, the Silex offers stability, comfort, and capability across every surface.
Key Features:

- Full carbon Merida Silex II CF2 fork with 47c max tyre size
- Shimano GRX820 12-speed drivetrain for precision and reliability
- Shimano GRX820 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors
- Shimano WH-RX180-700C wheelset for strength and speed
- Maxxis Rambler 700x45C tyres with fast-rolling gravel tread
- Five bottle mounts, dropper-ready & suspension fork compatible
- 0% APR finance available
At the heart of the Silex 7000 lies a CF2 carbon frame designed a long top tube, short stem, and slack head angle combine to create confident off-road handling while maintaining agility on the tarmac. The frame offers generous tyre clearance for up to 700x45C (or 42C with mudguards), allowing riders to run high-volume tyres for improved grip and comfort.
The Merida Silex II CF2 carbon fork keeps steering sharp and absorbs trail buzz, while its updated design allows for easy suspension fork compatibility without affecting the bike’s geometry. The result is a gravel bike that adapts to your riding style from fast touring to rough backroads.
Shimano’s new GRX820 12-speed drivetrain brings smooth, dependable shifting and wide gearing for both climbs and high-speed flats. Matched with Shimano GRX820 hydraulic disc brakes and large 180mm rotors, stopping power and control are precise even when the bike is fully loaded.
The Shimano WH-RX180 wheelset offers a strong, tubeless-ready setup ideal for adventure riding, paired with Maxxis Rambler 700x45C tyres that feature a versatile tread for grip on gravel and efficiency on tarmac. Meanwhile, a Merida carbon seatpost and Ergonomic cockpit ensure all-day comfort.
Every detail of the Silex is designed for adventure. There are five sets of bottle mounts, internal routing for a dropper post or dynamo system, and mounting points for racks and bikepacking bags. Merida’s signature Disc Cooler technology reduces brake temperatures by up to 35%, adding reliability on long descents with luggage.
Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.
