The Merida Reacto 9000 represents the perfect balance of aerodynamics, comfort, and cutting-edge performance. It’s built around Merida’s CF5 IV carbon frame, made from premium fibres that deliver exceptional stiffness and low weight. The race geometry is tuned for speed, while wider tyre clearance up to 30 mm ensures comfort on long or uneven roads without compromising aerodynamics.
To maintain its renowned speed, Merida refined every surface using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to achieve minimal drag. Subtle but clever innovations include an integrated Disc Cooler behind the fork, a hidden rear caliper within the rear triangle, and custom bolt-through axles that smooth airflow around the frame. The result is a bike that requires just 209 watts to maintain 45 km/h — a clear sign of its aerodynamic efficiency.
Braking performance matches the speed. The Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes feature CNC’d aluminium cooling fins that reduce heat build-up by up to 35%, maintaining consistent power even on long descents. Shifting is taken care of by Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed electronic gearing, offering crisp, reliable changes under pressure.
The Reacto 9000 rolls on Reynolds BL60 Expert carbon wheels, 60 mm deep for aerodynamic advantage while staying stable in crosswinds. They’re paired with Continental Grand Prix 5000S TR tyres, tubeless-ready for reduced rolling resistance and improved comfort.
Finishing touches include the Vision Metron 5D ACR EVO integrated carbon cockpit for clean lines and precise control, a Merida Team CW aero seatpost, and a Prologo Nago R4 PAS saddle designed for endurance comfort.
Praised by cycling media as one of the most complete aero bikes available, the Merida Reacto 9000 delivers genuine race-level performance without compromising day-to-day rideability. It’s the bike for riders who want world-tour speed and real-world versatility in one stunning package.
